Company History & Bio

Krapf School Bus is a family-owned and operated transportation business established in 1942, by George Krapf, Jr., to provide pupil transportation for the local municipalities. Initially operating with two school buses, the company has grown and expanded, not only in size, but also in scope and diversity. Krapf School Bus is now one of the largest private providers of contracted school bus transportation in the nation, with operations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and New York.

Family & Core Values

Since its humble beginnings in 1942, Krapf School Bus has grown into one of the largest and most trusted family-owned school bus contractors in the nation. Seven Krapf family members are actively involved in the business and continue to uphold the ideals and values set forth by George Krapf, Jr. These family values serve as our framework, ensuring full commitment to our mission, open and honest communication, respect, and a passion for service excellence.

Community Involvement

In 2016, the Krapf Board of Directors selected Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) as the official charity to be supported company-wide. This partnership is in addition to the various sponsorships currently provided to the schools served by Krapf, as well as its local communities. Krapf's commitment to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is the first "official" partnership with a nationally based charity.
