Who Can Use ROVER?

Senior Citizens ...
All residents of this county 65+ years of age are sponsored to ride ROVER Community Transportation at a discounted rate. 85% of the ride is paid for by State Lottery funds, the remaining 15% is paid by the rider or by the rider and the County of Chester. Fares are calculated based on trip purpose, length of trip, and number of passengers accessing the ride. Fare amounts are given as reservations are made or upon request.

To register for the service, senior citizens must contact our office at 610-594-3911 or, toll-free, at 877-873-8415.

Medical Assistance Card Holders ...
All individuals with a current medical assistance card are able to use ROVER Community Transportation for appointments in which the medical card is used as payment for services provided.

However, there is a limitation called "The Quarter-Mile Rule." This rule states that public transportation - not ROVER - must be used if both the pick-up and destination locations are within a quarter-mile of the fixed bus route.

To register as a Medical Assistance Card holder, contact the Medical Assistance Transportation Program Coordinator Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 610-594-3911.
